The Ancient Order of Hibernians (AOH) is a centuries old organization with its roots dating back to the 16th century. We are the largest and most influential body of Irish Catholic men in the world. Today, the Ancient Order of Hibernians has the motto: “Friendship, Unity & Christian Charity.” The AOH is a place to meet like-minded Irish Americans who share the same values and beliefs. If you are from Ireland or of Irish descent, you should consider becoming a Hibernian.
In collaboration with AOH, the Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians (LAOH) is an Irish Catholic women’s organization. Membership is open to practicing Roman Catholic women who are of Irish descent, a wife or mother of an AOH member. There will be an informal meeting for both organizations at Southport’s Sacred Heart Catholic Church in the social hall on January 30th at 7:00 p.m. All interested are invited. Contact: (AOH) Pat Naughton (804) 921-3895 , (LAOH) Joanne Hennessy Thompson (910) 457-7407.
